As a family we love nothing more than getting out and about, exploring new places and having fun outdoors. Over the past 12 months we have enjoyed a lot of family fun and adventures both here in the Uk and abroad too. In 2017 we intend to have even more fun and travel further. Until then though here’s a little quick look back at what we got up to in 2016:

We started the year off with a bang staying for a week at the very magical Coombe Mill. We were then fortunate enough to return to Cornwall for Easter and enjoyed a spring revisit to see Fiona and her family. On that occasion we even fed baby lambs it was wonderful. We love cornwall and particularly enjoyed the beaches at both times of year. We really enjoyed Padstow, had fun at Fistral Beach, discovered sand dunes at some of the smaller local beaches, found Boscastle delightful and discovered brightly coloured beach huts at Bude:

Over the past 12 months we have enjoyed some fabulous days out at National Trust locations including: Dryham Park, Lacock Abbey, Claremont Landscape Garden, Polesden Lacey, Reigate Hill and Gatton Park, Hatchlands Park, Lanhydrock  as well as old favourites like Ham House and Osterley Park. There’s actually more but I haven’t written about them all:

We have had lots of fun exploring Royal Parks like Richmond and Bushy Parks and have returned to both many times. We have also enjoyed exploring Lavender fields, a patch of Poppies, other pretty flowers and pumpkins:

As well as our two cornish breaks we have enjoyed a weekend in Nottingham where we visited Sherwood Forest and we have holidayed in the Algarve, the Cotswolds (check out our review of Adam Hensons Cotswolds Farm Park) and Bluestone National park in Wales:

There were a few more days out along the way like several trips to Kew Gardens with our cousins. Overall I think you will agree it was a busy 12 months!  We can’t wait to share even more with you all  this coming year:

Happy New Year everyone. Hope its one filled with lots of outdoor fun and adventures.

If you are interested in our plans for this year you can take a little peek here. Its going to be a year for exploring, having lots of fun and lots of holidays.
