My girls love me more than ever right now. They think that Mummy and her blog are the best things in the whole wide world…..why? Well because we have been given the very important job to taste Easter Eggs from Asda this week:

Easter-Eggs-9

Now these girls don’t usually have much chocolate. They sometimes get kinder eggs when certain family and friends visit and they have the odd treat here and there, especially after injections or hospital visits but not much really. In the past they have always had Easter eggs hunts on Easter day when they would find little hollow eggs or bunnies left by the Easter Bunny but we have never brought them proper big eggs before. Of course they were all delighted and couldn’t wait to help review this gorgeous bundle of goodies Asda sent over:

Easter-Eggs-3

Left to right –

DIY Chick Egg (£5.00, 175g),
Extra Special Belgian Chocolate Salted Butterscotch and Fudge Egg (£6.00, 245g).
Yolky the Chick (£2.50, 150g)

Easter-Eggs-1

We were also sent various crafty bits and pieces we haven’t used yet but will, some little chicks we are going to put on Easter cakes and a cute little bag to give eggs away in or perhaps collect some the Bunny might have left.

As you can see they all look great but what did we really think of them? Here we go.

Now the girls really enjoyed this one. You are given a small pot of chocolate drops which you pop in the microwave for around 30 seconds, stir and you are ready to have some fun. Despite Poppy telling them they could get as creative as they wanted, these girls stuck to the usual chick look but were over the moon with it. Daisy is only 3 years old but even she was able to get stuck in to this, lots of fun:

As you can see the chocolate isn’t too thick or thin and a lovely rich chocolatey colour. It got the thumbs up from these three.

Next up is the:

Extra Special Belgian Chocolate Salted Butterscotch and Fudge Egg

Easter-Eggs-2

Now this looks amazing and is a substantial egg in size and weight. It was difficult to photograph out of the box because it kept rolling onto the decorated side which looks really special. Milk and dark chocolates blended with soft fudge, salted butterscotch and crisp delicate white chocolate curls offers complete indulgence. It was definitely Husbands favourite. He quite like the combination of textures, creamy chocolate and chewy fudge:

Finally there was this little fellow. A huge hit with the younger two (and me too):

Yolky The Chick

Easter-Eggs-4

He looks super cute, tastes yummy and despite being hollow is deliciously thick:

So if you haven’t got all the Easter eggs you need yet, these were a huge hit with out family.
