Waterproof & Warm – Snug Boots

Footwear for the girls at this time of year drives me crazy! We need something warm, comfortable, practical but stylish too.

At the start of Autumn/Winter I was excited about getting the coats, scarves and wellies out. We love bright colours and they all seem so cheerful. But as the Winter drags on and we take hundreds of photos of the girls wearing the same coats and wellies I start to get bored.

I love Ugg boots and have wanted some for the girls forever. However with three of them they would be far to expensive. There are lots of similar type boots around but realistically they can only really be worn on dry days so are not very practical for children at all.

When I spotted these boots from Cuckooland I knew they could be the answer to our problem. A revolutionary new PVC ‘Snug Boot’ with a suede-look outer and a cosy sheepskin faux-fur lining. Boots with the snuggly warmth of sheepskin but the rain-proof quality of wellies… perfect for my little adventurers and for our outdoors lifestyle:

As you can see from the photos below we have thoroughly road tested these over the past few weeks. They have jumped in puddles (deep ones) and squelched through mud and I can tell you they really are waterproof. A quick wash down at home and they look like new again:

They are so warm and comfy that the girls can’t wait to put them on. They also look great with dresses and skirts as well as jeans and leggings:

Daisy loves hers so much she has even been found wearing them for her nap.Thankfully they were clean.

Initially we ordered some for the big girls but Daisy and I were jealous so got some too. I can honestly say they are very comfortable as well as warm and cosy. A welcome change from wearing wellies on our family adventures:

Our new favourite footwear! You will probably be seeing a lot more of them on here over the next few months.
