Sometimes you don’t have to go far or even out for very long to have an adventure! Sometimes all you need is a little walk:
A few weekends ago we were really busy with Birthday parties, Poppys brilliant homework video and Daddy’s remembrance parade so there wasn’t much time to get outdoors. It was about 3pm on Sunday afternoon when we finally we made it out for a little family walk and are we glad we did!
The sun was already pretty low meaning the bright Autumn colours were intensified. Everything looked gorgeous and glowy. The air was pretty warm meaning coats were ditched as the girls ran around breathing in all that fresh air:
They jumped in piles of leaves, walked through them listening to them crunch. They picked them up and threw them, covering themselves in them. It was lovely to see:
They climbed trees and admired the ducks on the lakes:
They chased each other and pretended to be on the Sister train…something they do a lot! They really are slightly crazy these three:
It was a gorgeous afternoon walk and just what we needed to remind us it was the weekend:
It really is true when they say the best things in life are free. Have you been on an adventure lately?

November 25, 2016 at 7:58 pm (8 years ago)Thanks Sarah. We usually get up and go out in the morning so the late afternoon was a bit different for us. It was lovely and warm with the low sun and looked so pretty though. Will definitely do again x

November 27, 2016 at 10:10 pm (8 years ago)I am already missing these vibrant autumn colours, the last week has really wiped them away for us. I forget how pretty things were until I see pictures like these. I’ve loved seeing your photos from this walk on Instagram, lovely now to see the whole collection and appreciate your walk.
Thank you for sharing with me on #CountryKids
