After swapping the Gloucestershire countryside for Surrey, we miss the Cotswolds and all that open space and have decided that’s the area we would like to settle in eventually. It’s actually only a year or so away but in the meantime we are making the most of the green space here.
Two things Surrey has that Gloucestershire doesn’t are the beautiful Royal Parks and the amazing deer.
We spend lots of time in both Richmond Park and Busy Park and the girls never tire of it. To be honest just getting outdoors in the fresh air and running around the park and exploring keeps them happy but the deer…well words cannot describe how amazing it is to get so close to them.
Poppy says “its exciting seeing the deer, they are lovely”, Rosie says “they are cute and fluffy and their horns are huge” whilst Daisy just stands there mesmorised. She has been known to try and get too close. She has no fear at all and thinks she can just walk up to them with a handful of grass. Obviously we pull her back and explain you cant do that.
Anyway here’s a few of our photos of them. I think you will agree they are beautiful creatures and can understand why our little family enjoy spending so much time there:
