Ever since I was a little girl I have loved dressing up on Christmas Day and quite often even have a new outfit. Even if I don't have something new (like this year) I could not imagine not making an effort. Nowadays I also have three little princeses to dress up and thankfully they enjoy it as much as me.
I must admit I sometimes like to dress the girls the same but as Poppy is getting older (aged 5 1/2) she often tries to look a little different. This year I found the girls Christmas dresses when I wasn't even looking. I was leisurely perusing Next childrenswear for nothing in particular when I first found Poppy's. The pretty light pink colour, glittery stars and tutu skirt looked perfect for her and I knew she had to have it.
As I reached the younger girls section I just happened to find the perfect complimentary dress for the younger two: bright red dress, light tutu skirt, sparkly sequins and long sleeves (ideal as no need for cardis). They were very reasonably priced too so I brought them before they disappeared off the shelves:
Here are my excited little models on Christmas morning:
Dresses: All from Next
Shoes – Poppy's Clark's, Rosie's from Livie & Luca
Tights – Marks & Spencer's
Hair accessories – Daisy's Hair Bow made by me, the girls headbands were from Santa
I might be biased but I think they look pretty cute! To be fair they don't look very excited but that's just because they wanted to get going to Nanny and Gramp's house to see their cousins.
We love the magic of Christmas in this house, pretty little dresses and sparkles just add to it. Hope you enjoyed a lovely day and looking forward to checking out what your little ones wore too.
