Discovering I was pregnant for the third time was exciting but I was terrified about piling all the weight back on I had lost. Having been using a slimpod successfully I wanted to keep using it. I spoke to Sandra, then my useless GP, then Sandra again.

We decided I should stop using drop 2 jean sizes and just use the maintain your weight one and instead of daily listening, I would use it three times a week.

It was great, I felt great. No real sickness or cravings I felt healthy and ate healthily. I didn’t overeat at all. It was only at the end I started with the rice cakes and ice cubes – particularly healthy cravings though.

I had a big bump but she was all bump, I wasn’t huge everywhere.

As soon as Daisy was born I felt pretty good. Obviously I had a bit of a soft swollen tummy (usul after just having a baby) but other than that I felt great. I had my hair cut and coloured and was feeling quite yummy.

Within a week I was back in my size 12s…well apart from my jeans. That didn’t matter though at first, as with a baby that pukeed constantly, a toddler and one in reception I quickly adapted to my new uniform: a few pairs of leggings, tops and boots. I felt quite nice at first.

When she was 6 weeks old I brought a juicer, craving fruit and vegetables and wanting to get fit. Unfortunately breast feeding a reflux baby was awful and she reacted to everything….especially my juices! I decided to keep feeding but keep my diet bland. I stopped listening to the slimpod as she cried a lot and I needed to hear her.

Sadly, it was around this time things began to go wrong. Wearing comfy leggings, trousers or skirts hid the truth. Add in a sickly baby who reacted to everything Mummy ate (especially fruit and veg) and the weight piled on. Whereas I hadn't been eating bread during pregnancy now I was. Where I hadn't been eating chocolate this exhausted mummy thought she deserved a treat once all three girls were asleep.

Right now im not feeling great but I am feeling positive again. I am ready to give it another go. I've even brought a fitpod so watch this space.

Note to self though – owning a slimpod will not make you skinny, you have to listen to it. Remember it does work… It did before.

Note to anyone else – keep using your slimpod even after you have had your baby or lost your desired weight. They really do work. As for use during pregnancy, the idea is not to lose weight but rather not pile excess or unnecessary weight on. They just help you make heathy choices.

I really do recommend them.
