This family have decided until the girls get a bit bigger, big expensive days out to theme parks are just not for us!

Give our girls a hill to run up or roll down, a tree to climb, a field to run in or a children’s park to play in and they are as happy as anything. Rosy cheeks, giggles and smiles and happy parents knowing everyone’s having fun and best of all its free.

Take them on a big expensive day out to somewhere like legoland and they whinge, whine, don’t want to go on anything, don’t like the crowds or the queues and their legs hurt. Does this found familiar or is it just my ungrateful children?

Actually that’s not fair, Poppy (aged 5) was pretty good and Daisy (14 months) was an angel, it was Rosie the 3 year old who was the most troublesome. Oh and you know those harassed looking parents you pity trying to conjule their kids into behaving better…yes that was Husband and I!

If you look at our beautiful photos you can see we did all enjoy ourselves in the end and there is lots to do for all ages. In fact you might even believe we have three little angels behind those sweet smiles but I’m not goung to lie to you. It was not the easiest, most pleasant day out we’ve ever had.

The highlights for us all had to be the Halloween fun, Duplo Valley and mini land:

There’s no doubt that legoland offers a great day out but it is not good value for money and for this reason I think it’s better if your children are that bit older so they want to do everything and that bit taller so they can. That way you can all go on everything together, have less waiting around and all enjoy yourselves.

I was not asked to write anything but would like to thank Little Dish for the free tickets for the whole family I received back June in exchange for a post I wrote celebrating their partnership with Legoland and the opening of Duplo Valley.
