Saturday morning was one of those awful ones when everything goes wrong. The girls had to miss ballet again as unwell. It was a beautiful day though and they had energy to burn up.

I had tided, hoovered and mopped but when I went back into each of the rooms the girls had made a complete mess. There was torn up paper all over the place, spilt milk on the carpet and cereal thrown all over the floor (Daisy's new party trick), resulting in it all having to be done again. Just as I was about to sit down with a cup of coffee Daisy then threw up all over the rug in the sitting room after a coughing fit (she's had whooping cough) meaning more cleaning up of floor, her clothes & body, as well as my clothes and of course no rest for mummy!

By this point I was near breaking point. I was exhausted after having been up in night with Daisy, worn out and feeling thoughly fed up. After an early lunch and a big cuddle, Daisy went to bed and I literally threw the big girls in the garden with instructions to play nicely. They actually listened to me for a change and played lovely together.

They came in for the supplies to have a teddy bears tea party and then played for hours. It was so good to see them playing together and watch their little imaginations going. I love Rosie's facial expressions as she eyes up the biscuits whilst Poppy tells her the teddies have to have some first:

They might not be the best photos but it was a lovely way to spend the time before Nanny and Gramps came to help me out. You can tell they've been having fun with their messy hair and dirty faces 🙂
