School shoes used to drive me crazy. Not anymore though. Well not for the youngest two anyway. They get their shoes from Chipmunks footwear and we cannot recommend them enough! In fact we have been sharing last years review a lot recently, telling anybody who is interested how good they are. We mean it too:

Daisy has been wearing chipmunks footwear for the past two years. Not just school shoes either. She has fluffy pink boots, several pairs of pink Trixie shoes and even their adorable slippers. She currently has her eye on the beautiful yellow Elsa ones.

Daisy is a gymnast, who constantly runs, jumps, turns cartwheels and climbs all over the outdoor play equipment. She really has put these shoes to the test and both years they have lasted a whole year. Well the first pair would have, if her feet hadn’t grown during the May half term. No holes in the soles though, no peeling patent, they still looked  beautifully shiny at the end of the year:

Rosie tried chipmunks footwear for the first time last year and she too loved them. She chose the Amber ones and found them so comfy. She loved the Velcro strap and the fact that they were so light.  As a Mum, I particularly liked the sturdier looking sole. The only issue we had was that one bow came off when she caught it with her chair at school near the end of the Summer term. Not necessary a design fault with the shoe but it did stop us from choosing a bow style again.

This year, the girls have been really lucky to be sent another pair each. They chose the same shoe this time round but they are different to any we have chosen before. So far so good. The girls adore them and they fit really well:

The Chipmunks Ellie style is a T-Bar shoe designed with a traditional brogue toe and scallop edge detail, adjustable buckle strap for easy fastening. It is Constructed with a full grain, patent leather upper and have a man-made lining. It is available in two size ranges: Infant 4-12 & Junior 13-2.

We love the traditional style, the buckle fastening and the chunky sole. They might be tough and long lasting but honestly these shoes are so light. We have no doubt that these shoes will be as good as previous ones:

 

Have you got your school shoes yet? If not we seriously recommend Chipmunks.  Tried and tested two years in a row, we will stick to them now until my girls grow out of them. Actually that’s my only complaint, that sizes don’t go up higher. Big sister Poppy would wear these as well if they came in her size.
