Having three little girls who are all very impressionable, I do not want them to grow up seeing me diet or unhappy with the way I look. For that reason I've decided to get back into exercise. It makes me feel good as well as look good and I find I'm much more patient with them too (an added bonus).

I have decided to start running again but my running buddy is away until February so until then I need something else. I've started the 30 Day Shred to get me feeling fitter, thinner and motivated to exercise. It sounds extreme but I need quick results to spur me on otherwise I loose interest.

 

 

It's been a week so far and here's how it's been:

Day 1

Oh my goodness! You know all those exercises you know work but hate? Yes you get it. They are all in this Dvd. There are no surprises just lots of jumping jacks, squats, lunges and crunches etc…owch!!! Oh and talking about jumping jacks, it's not pretty. I felt as those I was wobbling everywhere and needed a much more supportive sports bra. Finally I m not as flexible as I used to be, those cool down stretches used to be easy!

Day 2

Feeling surprisingly positive today. Yes it was still tough and I hated doing it but 20 minutes later I was feeling fab!

Day 3

Owwww my tummy muscles hurt today and my legs were kind of wobbly. I've started doing it in the morning now which I find better but it's not easy with a 17 month old. She started off dancing and swinging her arms but then sat on my tummy during the abs bit and went between my legs with baby walker when I was doing the punches (the bit I actually like).

Day 4

Dare I say it's getting a teeny bit easier? Felt good today and even the jumping jacks were not quite so tough. Not feeling sore or shaky anywhere and think my tummy might be flatter too. Daisy only bashed into me twice with toys and laid next to me during abs.

Day 5

I am feeling good! It's all going well and I am managing to keep up without feeling like I am dying. I'm even following the advanced lady with some of my moves. Daisy being pretty good too.

Day 6

I am feeling thinner! Silly me didn't weigh or measure but there's a definite difference. My arms feel more toned, my tummy is flatter and maybe I've lost a bit in my face too. Husbands been away all week and noticed a difference too! Yeeehh definitely spurred me on today. Will keep going.

Day 7

Ok, so I don't enjoy doing this Dvd yet but I love the results. I have more energy and am noticing a definite difference in my ability to keep up between this week and last. Starting to wonder about level 2 and what I might look like after 30 days.
