Could your child be the UK’s next superstar storyteller?

When I heard about this competition I couldn’t wait to share it with you all. Chipmunks Footwear (who we already adore, wear their shoes  and have shared with you reviews before) have teamed up with Roald Dahls Marvellous Children’s charity. Together they are running this amazing competition to discover the next UK’s superstar storyteller whilst raising money so that specialist nurses can provide care and support for seriously ill children in the UK.

My girls all adore Roald Dahls stories and the older two enjoy writing stories of their own too. They can’t wait to enter this and I can’t wait to see their entries. What a fantastic competition and very worthwhile cause.

Marvin the Marvellous Crocodile is the charities super friendly, very caring mascot who LOVES bedtime stories. .All you need to do is get your little ones to write an extra special story all about him and one of the Chipmunks adorable slipper characters. These include Tommy the tiger, Sharky the shark, Lionel the lion, Kiki the cat, Piper the penguin and Und the unicorn. Basically they can make the story as adventurous and outrageous as they like. Here are our slippers Kiki and Piper:

The lovely people at Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity will pick the winning story, which will then be published into a printed, one-off book especially for the winner. The story will also be sent to the marvellous Roald Dahl nurses around the country, and will be read to seriously ill children in need of a special bedtime story to cheer them up. How amazing is that?

Competition entires have to be emailed to bedtimestories@ilkagency.com by midnight on Friday 22nd of December. Your story has to be at least 250 words, and you can even get arty and draw your own pictures of Marvin and his character friend. You can find the full competition  details here:
