Sale shopping, you either love it or hate it.
Now I am not one of those people who enjoy rummaging through rails of sale clothes but I quite like online shopping and of course grabbing a bargain too. Therefore I love this time of year for shopping. All my favourite shops and brands have big sales on and you can pick up some really good deals (if only I had more money to spend in them though)! With three little girls to buy for and a bit of a shopping addiction (sssshhh), every little bit off helps.
House of Fraser currently have a massive sale on where you can save up to 50%. I love this store because it stocks many of my favourite brands all under one roof. I have spent some time perusing their site and have come up with a bit of a wishlist.
My Favourite Sale picks:
1. Toby Tiger Girl`S Organic Applique Rainbow Dress 2. Polarn O. Pyret Girls Playsuit 3. Joules Girls Ditsy Print Ruffle Skirt
4. Sunuva Girls UPF 50+ Starfish Swimsuit 5. Frugi Organic Kids Girls Mousehole Top
6. Joules Girls Bunting Print Short Sleeved Frill Hem Dress 7. Frugi Organic Kids Girls Zelah Zip-Up Hoody
A combination of things for Autumn/ Winter and a few last minute buys to take away with us on holiday next week. All bright and colourful but pretty sensible purchases I think.
There are lots of different ways to shop in the sales. For example some people grab everything they like because they can, others end up buying things that never actually get worn, whilst others are a bit more savvy and think carefully about their purchases. I might adore girls clothes but to just grab everything I like doesn’t work for me. Whilst a cute dress or new pair of shoes for the girls might draw my eye, I do tend to think about when they might actually wear them and what they really need.
My Top Sale Shopping Tips:
1. Take your time and think practically – If you look carefully you can get some really sensible buys that will see your children through the next season. For me this would mean looking at things like long sleeved jersey dresses, long sleeved t-shirts or perhaps knitwear, fleeces or hoodies for those days when they don’t need a coat or jacket.
2. Be organised – If you have the money and are super organised you could buy ahead and pick out next years Spring/Summer clothes. That is as long as you don’t mind that they won’t be the latest style of course. Classic items are always the key when doing this. Shorts, t-shirts, swimwear and classic t-shirt dresses never go out of fashion.
3. Pick up a last minute bargain (or 2) – if like us you haven’t yet gone away yet but are about to head off for a warm sunny holiday, you could pick up a few last minute things to take with you.
Whilst browsing the House of Fraser website I also noticed they have quite range of kids coats and jackets. The one thing I really want for the girls this year is new lightweight jackets. They have thicker ones but nothing for those days when its not cold but might rain so just for fun I also picked out one each for the girls. Whilst these particular ones were not in the sale there are plenty of them that are:
For Daisy (aged 4) I chose 1 – the beautiful Joules Girls Dalmatian Print Rubber Coat
For Rosie (aged 6) 2 – the Holly & Beau Girls Fairy Colour Change Rain CoatI. The fairies actually change colour when it rains!
Whilst for Poppy (aged 8) I picked 3 – the Joules Girls Padded Pack Away Coat
I think they match their personalities really well and would be perfect for my girls.
