And so it begins. The birthday season is upon us and over the next 6 weeks each of my girls have their next birthdays. Today was Rosie’s turn. Today she turned 5.

5 seems such a big number when they are little. No longer babies or toddlers 5 is a proper little girl. In fact Rosie seems to have shot up a good few inches recently and has grown up an awful lot too. Only this morning she told me being 5 feels very different to being four. she feels bigger and older.

She has been at school for almost a year now and learnt so much in a short space of time. She can read and write, add up and take away and is even learning her times tables. She knows about different shapes including 3d ones and tells me new things everyday. She is like a little sponge soaking up everything and eager to learn more. Although she is definitlley starting to get a bit tired now and is ready for a break.

Here are a few of her favourite things:

A little bundle of fun who doesn’t stop moving. She does ballet, tap and modern dancing now and is constantly dancing and twirling, doing cartwheels or handstands until it makes me dizzy.

That’s Rosie, my middle one.
