With World Book Day coming up we were absolutely thrilled to be asked to review an outfit from Simply Fancy Dress. Poppy was really excited to see the Repunzel Costume as this is one of her favourite stories. She cheekiy asked to try out the wig too and was very excited to see it glowed in the dark.

We are big fans of dressing up in this house and when they arrived I was as thrilled as her. A good size and fit, the dress is well made as well as pretty. It should fit for a while. Here she is modelling it:

The wig itself looks lovely but I can see it may become easily matted. For this reason we return it to the box after use and are being very careful with it. It’s definitely not something you would just chuck in the dressing up box. Luckily Poppy is a very sensible four year old.

To make it glow as in the film “Tangled” you need to expose it first to light to charge. I must admit we were disappointed it didnt glow anywhere near as much as we hoped. The highlights glowed a little 🙁

Although Poppy was upset at first we talked about it and decided not to let it bother us too much as she wont be up when it’s dark anyway. She still looks fabulous with her long hair. If you are buying this for the glow in the dark feature I wouldn’t bother but if you just want the length then go for it!!

We love this outfit and give it big thumbs up.
