Last weekend we were fortunate enough to be invited back to the beautiful Trevella Park in Cornwall, North Devon.
The park itself is very pretty and I must warn you, 3 days is no way long enough to stay. Just as you are starting to unwind, relax and get into the swing of things you have to leave. I would definitley make it at least a week!
The Welcome and Staff
As you drive into the park you are greeted by lots of pretty flowers which line the road on both sides and make you feel as though you are instantly on holiday. The staff at the reception are very friendly and welcoming too which is always nice after a long journey.
The Accommodation
Last time we tried glamping in a safari tent for the first time ever and loved it but this time with a 2 year old who we lift before bedtime, we knew we needed a toilet at night so opted for a luxury static caravan.
Now the word static caravan makes me cringe and think of old people (sorry Trevella) and is not something I would usually go for (i’m much more of an all inclusive 5 star hotel kind of girl), so I would prefer to see it just say ‘luxury holiday home’ or something similar but I must admit inside they are fabulous.
With 3 bedrooms, a power shower and a big open plan living room, dinning room and kitchen space you can’t go wrong. There is an electric fire for cooler days and a small tv as well as the all important free wifi. The sofas also change into an extra double bed in case there are more of you. The kitchen of course is fully equipped for a self-catered stay, with a refrigerator, full size cooker, cookware and crockery. There is even a deck with picnic table for warm sunny days and evenings (perhaps with a glass of wine or two).
We really loved being able to spread out over the the three bedrooms and enjoyed the feeling of space.
Here’s a little video tour:
The Grounds and Park
Although the park is surrounded by beautiful beaches and plenty of tourist attractions (watch out for my other posts), make sure you leave enough time to just relax and chill out in the park itself. It really is beautiful and there are lots of hidden gems to explore.
There is a children’s play park and a cool adventure playground, the swimming pools, two fishing lakes and a crazy golf course. There is also a pets corner and In the school holidays there are ranger activities too. You can really tell it’s a 5 star holiday park. There is a definite feeling of peacefulness and relaxation in the air. We loved it and would have loved to stay longer.
The adventure playground in particular was a huge hit with all three girls. They especially loved the zip wire, going on it again and again and again:
The Swimming Pools
These were a highlight of our holiday and something we used everyday regardless of the weather. Classed as heated they could in no way be described as warm but that didn’t stop our family having fun.
There are two pools: a main one and a small toddler one. They are open until 7pm every evening and you will be given a code to enter.

Overall
We love Trevella and would definitely go back again. Its a beautiful park in a beautiful area of the Country. It has a very laid back, safe and family feel to it which we enjoy. Perfect for family fun and outside adventures.

July 20, 2015 at 12:04 pm (9 years ago)This looks like a great place to go and relax as a family unit, they’ve covered so many bases. It’s great to see the girls on the adventure play area together too, they look like they were playing sweetly. That swimming pool looks like it was a big hit with your girls, I’m sure they all want to go back to Trevella again. Thanks for linking up with me on Country Kids.
