Today was a big day in this house.

It was the first time that Poppy read the bedtime story all by herself and I was a very proud Mummy indeed!

She only turned four at the end of July and started Reception in September. Being my eldest I wasn’t sure what to expect but certainly wasn’t prepared for the amount of homework or speed at which they are flying through reading and writing letters. It’s amazing…she’s amazing!!

Tonights book had 12 pages, here’s an example of a few of them:

 

 

 

I was so excited and surprised I rang her Daddy who was at work to tell him, followed by my parents.

I love my little girl and am so proud of her. She’s also gone to bed pretty pleased with herself too 🙂
