I am feeling pretty pleased with myself right now. I've managed to take a photo everyday for the past two years. Quite an achievement I feel. I might drive my family half crazy but what lovely memories to look back on. They will thank me one day. I started way back when I had just two daughters, announced I was pregnant again, tracked my pregnancy and then continued to photograph our family life with three little girls. Now I've started I just can't stop so I'm doing it all over again, wish me luck.

Towards the end of last year my very lovely, generous Husband (a keen photographer and gadget freak) treated me to my very own Canon DSLR. I was thrilled and noticed a huge improvement in the quality of my pictures immediately. This year I hope to learn how to use it better and perfect my technique.

I was a bit disorganised last week (took the photos but didn't write the post) so here's the first 11 days of our 2014,

1/3665 – “Another Christmas Dinner”

Spent the day relaxing at Grandma and Grants with the rest of the family and a yummy dinner. Then headed off to see more relatives before heading home. It was a lovely family few days and the girls particularly enjoyed seeing their Cousins.

2/365 – “Chilling At Nannys”

A very relaxing and enjoyable quiet day at my parents. My Nana was still there too which was really lovely.

3/365 – “Boo!”

This morning we took the girls swimming which was lovely. They were so good we went for lunch afterwards. This afternoon was a relaxed one where the girls just played with all their new toys. Here's Daisy hiding in the teepee.

4/365 – “Ginger Cakes “

The girls made and decorated ginger cakes today with minimal interference from me, they had lots of fun and we all enjoyed eating them. We took them for a bit of fresh air on the scooters but it was pretty cold.

5/365 – “A Breath of Fresh Air”

Headed off for a walk in one our favourite local National Trust areas. It was absolutely freezing but blew the cobwebs away. Husband headed off back to work tonight, will be a single Mum only 3 nights a week so not too bad!

6/365 – “Fun At The Park”

A trip to the park this morning made the girls happy and they were thrilled to bump into friends there. It really made their day. This afternoon my Mum came round which was lovely too.

7/365 – “Pretty Girl”

The girls went back to school this morning and I enjoyed some quiet time with Daisy. I took my camera out and practised taking portraits. I liked how this one turned out.

8/365 “Making Moon Dough”

Rosie gave up her nap over Christmas which means when I know longer get a break in the day 🙁 Daisy naps for around 3 hours so Rosie and I made moon dough. It was lots of fun, very messy and sparked her imagination no end. After picking Poppy up we played in the park as dry. Tonight Daddy came hone yeeehh!!

9/365 – “Jigsaw puzzle fun”

This afternoon we played with this puzzle for two hours. Rosie couldn't get enough of it. Not much else happened.

10/365 – “Wearing Heels”

Daisy is a cheeky, gorgeous monster at the moment. She has a bit of a thing for shoes and these are her favourite 🙂 went to a friends house to play after school and then came home to yummy dinner cooked by Daddy….perfect!

11/365 – “TeePee Hideout”

Ballet and tap this morning then a quiet afternoon playing inside with Christmas toys and then outside with bikes and scooters.

I look forward each week to seeing your photos too. Hope it's been a good year so far.
