This week has been the worst so far this year 🙁
It seems our healthy spell is over and all three girls have been poorly this week. It started at the weekend with Rosie, then went on to Daisy who developed whooping cough and then ended with Poppy being sent home from school early (suspected scarlet fever). Thank goodness if wasn't but definitely not the best week ever! To top it off Husband hasn't been around much meaning I'm worn out and frazzled (not a good look) as well as a bit grumpy:
Day 82 – “Technology Kids”
Daye yesterday 82 – “Technology Kids”
The girls enjoyed having their cousins here for the night. They played out loads but here's them enjoying some quiet time in! Unfortunately Rosie really wasn't well. It started yesterday: high temperature, sore throat & neck. She's very cuddly and generally unwell.
Day 83 – “Poorly Girl “
Rosie still wasn't well so kept her off Preschool. This afternoon mum came to look after the girls whilst I went to Parents Evening. I was a very proud Mummy, both girls doing very, very well.
Day 84 – “Melfie For Lifecake”
Rosie better so went back to school but Daisy not well now. She has a horrible cough which was so bad she threw up twice and I had to sit up with her in the night coughing. Very poorly! A quiet day but did manage to get this lovely picture of us all. Check out the Lifecake #Melfie campaign/ competition on twitter.
Day 85 – ” Pretty In Pink
The big girls had the day off due to Teachers Strike. They enjoyed it anyway. Daisy still unwell and couldn't nap due to cough. Was struggling to breath and it was scaring me. Happened to be facetiming my sister when she witnessed one of Daisy's coughing fits. She'd told me it sounded like whooping cough so I contacted our GP. She was seen immediately and prescribed antibiotics. Fingers crossed the others don't get it. Daddy came home to help.
Day 86 – “Cheating”
Due to Daisy being really unwell I didn't take any photos (aaaahhh)! I'm cheating by using one from yesterday morning before she got really bad. If was a day of cuddles. Obviously I still had to do the school run so covered Daisy's pram in rain cover and did it as quickly as possible. Was sat up loads with her tonight.
Day 87 – “Mischeif Resumes”
Daisy perked up a bit today after her 4th dose of antibiotics. She even managed to eat a bit which she hasn't since Monday. A busy, hectic day. Poppy got sent home from school query Scarlett fever. She was very red in the face and complaning of a headache/ generally unwell. Turns out the school were being particularly cautious as have had a recent breakout of cases 🙁 she's fine though. Think it's a virus – no cough so hopefully she's not going down with whooping cough. Mum came across to give me a hand. They all need cuddles and attention and it's hard splitting myself between them all.
Day 88 – “Teddy Bears Picnic”
None of the girls were great today but whilst Daisy was napping, the big girls enjoyed playing in the garden. They set up a teddy gears picnic with honey sandwiches, biscuits, apples and marshmallows! Mum and Dad came to help which they all loved. Daisy had deteriorated and even threw up again. Hope she feels better soon.
