It's been a lovely week this week. It started with a birthday party, an inset day meant an extra day off school and we've even had a bit of sun 🙂 Husbands been away all week but it's not been too bad. We've even stayed and played with Rosie at Preschool for half an hour every morning. A one week only thing.
Day 55 – “Party Preparations”
Day 61 – “Running Free”
Day 55 – “Party Preparations”
Today Poppy was off to a party at Magicland, the largest soft play area in Gloucestershire. We don't go to these places very often despite the girls loving them, so we all went. Daddy looked after Daisy and Rosie in the younger bit whilst I joined in the party fun. I was up and down the slides with all of them….fun but exhausting!
Day 56 – “Swinging High”
An Inset day meant no school. Instead we enjoyed one more lie in and lazy day. It included a trip to the park and lots of singing along to Frozen songs on youtube.
Day 57 “Puppy Walk”
Rosie brought home a massive bag from school today…..
…and in it was a pet puppy with loads of stuff. Post to follow. A day of catching up on jobs once girls were back in school/ preschool & playing with Chloe the puppy.
Day 58 – “Chocolate Play Dough”
Daisy loves Preschool and would stay if she could. She especially likes the chocolate play dough and I'm enjoying seeing everything Rosie gets up to. It's a really lovely preschool. Later caught up with a friend & her little girl for coffee (no cake) and a play. Mum came round this afternoon & stayed until the girls were in bed. Oh and Poppy had Fizz Pop Science Club after school.
Day 59 – “Writing”
Another stay and play followed by Tumble Tots for Daisy. It was a busy morning followed by a much quieter afternoon. After school Poppy's friend and mum popped round to play/ have coffee. We hadn't caught up properly in a while so was really nice.
Day 60 – “Busy Cutting”
The last stay and play, then I rushed home as had to wait in for man to come about fence (4 panels down). He was very good & fixed temporarily but will need to come back next week. It wasn't the best day, yucky rain meant I got really wet & cold everytime I had to go out but then husband came home and mum popped in and it all got better. We all ended up going for an spontaneous Pizza Hut dinner which was a lovely idea (well I'm back in my skinny size 12 jeans after the shred so deserve a little treat).
Day 61 – “Running Free”
The day didn't start off the best but we did manage a lovely family adventure at a local National Trust area this afternoon. I also managed to get out on a run with a friend this evening, my first run since having Poppy. I managed 5ks in 35mins. Very proud of myself and hoping to get out 2-3x a week.
Hope you've all had a great week too.

March 1, 2014 at 11:21 pm (11 years ago)ha ha at Daisy’s grin and face in the chocolate play dough photo!! Rosie is concentrating so hard in the scissor cutting pic and the writing one. The photo of them running freely is lovely – that green grass and sunshine is a pleasure to see. That puppy has a huuuge amount of lugagge for such a small toy!!! x x

March 5, 2014 at 9:03 pm (11 years ago)love the face at the chocolate playdough, a very cute cheeky grin. The running free looks a great play to burn off some energy. I like the puppy walk, and at least you can shove it back in a box when you get home, unlike a real one.
