Anyone who reads this blog will know that I love my girls to wear pretty dresses and always have done. Daisy however, is a dirt magnet and loves messy play. Therefore for Nursery I don’t tend to send her in her best outfits. Neither do I buy her cheap clothes specifically for Nursery. Instead I just recycle the clothes her big sisters had. Therefore if they get ruined it’s not the end of the World.

Take today. I knew Daisy would be doing forest school but wasn’t going to the woods. She would be playing on the field so denim seemed like a good idea:

Dress – JoJo Maman Babe

T-shirt – Lilly and Sid,

Cardigan – Laura Ashley

Socks – M&S,

Shoes – Mothercare (see our review here)

This denim dress has been used by both Poppy and Rosie so is a few years old but it looks just as good as it did when I brought it. We teamed it with a short sleeved t-shirt because it was due to be a hot day and a cardigan because it wasn’t quite warm enough to not wear one first thing:

Daisy likes to look girly so adores the frills on the sleeve of the tshirt. She only wears it to Nursery when it’s hidden underneath this dress though because I wouldn’t want her to splash black paint over it!

The little sweetie design is a huge hit with her and the yellow looks very summery. It’s such a shame Laura Ashley don’t sell children clothes anymore. I used to buy a lot of it for her big Sisters. It washed so well that despite having been lived in by two children it still looks gorgeous and she always receives lovely comments when wearing it.

For some strange reason she decided this dress looked good today with the poppers on the lower option. She has never done this before. At least I know it will fit for a bit longer this way too.
