I haven't had much time to make hair bows and things recently but today I got my ribbon box and glue gun out and got excited all over again. You see I love doing it. I might not be amazing yet but I find it quite therapeutic and love the end result.

There's nothing like a pretty bow or clip to complete a little girls outfit so my girls always have pretty things in their hair…well Daisy chucks then out after 5 seconds but she starts the day with them in.

Anyway it's Poppy's 5th Birthday party next Saturday (her Birthdays on Thursday) and she's having joint one with her friend. It's a Pirates & Princesses theme and I offered to make hair clips for the girls party bags. I was going to just make 2 or 3 different styles but Poppy had other ides. She kept picking the ribbon and we ended up with a bit of a mix.

Here's the result:

She's really pleased with them so I hope the other little girls are too.

As I was in the mood I also made Daisy a little headband. I've had the stuff for ages but hadn't got around to it. Again I was really pleased with the result. For a change she actually didn't seem to mind wearing it and as you can see was happy modelling it for me:

Such a little cutie!

I'm loving being cafty & making handmade gifts. Watch this space for more pretty little things.

I'm using this as my Galley Post his week as the toptic over at Sticky fingers is I Made This… To see lots more homemade stuff pop on over.
