Take one little girl
Add 15 hours a week at Preschool
Mix well with others
Add plenty of dancing, singing, play dough & fun
The result – bucket loads of CONFIDENCE and a new child!
I cannot believe the difference in Rosie in just a few weeks. She has always been my gorgeous little monkey. Very affectionate and a little bit clingy. I didn't put her in nursery as I didn't think she would benefit and kept her home with me instead.
We've always filled our days with fun things inside and out. She has always enjoyed crafty stuff: painting and play dough, snuggling up and listening to stories, dressing up, singing and dancing. Outside she loves bubbles, riding her bike, racing on her scooter and jumping in puddles. Toddler groups and Tumble tots sessions have also been a big part of our week. She enjoyed all of these activities as well as mixing with others, had a few friends but was a little quiet, perhaps a shy girl.
Then she started Preschool at her Sisters school and it all changed. After only a few days I started to notice subtle changes but then they became bigger to the extent that my little girl appears to have had a complete personality transplant! All good though.
She's still my cheeky little monkey but she's made friends. She runs into School each morning to see them as well as her teachers. She comes home each day singing and dancing, showing me what she has done that day. She also performs in front of our friends and family. I can't explain every little change but they are definitely there.
She is growing up! Not just my little girl anymore she's developing into a confident grown up girl. They've noticed the change in her at her ballet lessons too and have actually moved her up a group with the 4+ girls (she's not 4 until end of June). She's even going to perform in their Christmas show, something I wouldn't have imagined a few weeks ago.
Rosie absolutely adores Preschool and I am really happy she is in the one she is. She took to it straight away and I'm so proud of the way she just got stuck in, giving me a hug and kiss before waving me away. After day 1 she told me she was having too much fun to miss me (sad for me but great for her).
Oh well, If she has to grow up and change at least she's happy and confident and of course shes not there all the time, which means we still have plenty of time and lots of fun together too.
Have you had a similar experience? I would love to know.
