You might have noticed that I've been a bit quiet on here lately. I've had my hands full with a poorly girl and it's been awful.
Last week all the girls were run down, really tired, cuddly and appeared to be fighting something. Then Daisy went downhill. She started off with a super high temperature for 2 days but other than being quiet and cuddly she had no other symptoms. Once that settled she started to look fluey, a cough, runny nose and very wingy. Finally after 4 days she spent the whole night screaming.
By 6am on Tuesday Husband and I were worried. I finally brought her into bed with us and she fell asleep after shouting that her ears hurt. She lay in bed looking very grey but with red eyes and a huge swollen face. She looked so poorly Husband and I felt sick. We didn't go back to sleep but she managed another half hour cuddled up to us and looked slightly better on waking.
A trip to the Doctors confirmed an ear infection and very swollen glands so she was prescribed antibiotics. Told not to collect unless necessary we went home but that afternoon she was literally crawling up me and screaming “my ears”, “make it stop hurting mummy” and “I need medicine”. I had never seen any of my girls in so much pain before and was almost crying myself so Husband rushed off to collect the medicine.
48 hours later she was feeling much better and whilst not 100% was back to being as naughty and cheeky as ever….but then she went downhill again. This time with a really upset tummy. I've been told it could just be a reaction to antibiotics but honestly it's never ending:
Fingers crossed my gorgeous girl gets better soon. It's not nice when they are poorly. You feel so helpless and we have lots planned for the Easter holidays.
