There is something very special about visiting the lavender fields each Summer. That first glimpse of the beautiful purple always takes my breath away, it’s quite something.
Of course you can’t fail to get a lovely photo with such a magnificent backdrop either. It doesn’t matter whether you are a pro with all the gear or simply your camera phone, you will get some fantastic photos. Sorry for the overload but it was hard to choose just a few.
This year there were a lot of bees around, and the girls were nervous so we took our time to sit down and watch them busy working all around us. We explained about pollination and the girls took it all in before rushing off to play together.
They had great fun pretending they were fairies fluttering through the sea of purple flowers. I love their imaginations at this age.
Another great day out on a sunny day.

It must be so interesting to watch all the bees buzzing around in the lavender and I love the happy smiles on your girls’ faces as they run through the lavender fields 🙂
