I love all of my girls, each one so very different.

Take Poppy. Now at 6 she seems so grown up in some ways but yet so young still in others. Mature for her years, sensible, clever and hardworking yet so innocent and naive too.

In this photo she has chosen her own outfit as well as her hairstyle and is searching for hidden fairy doors in this tree. At the same time she is describing Enid Blytons Faraway Tree to her Sisters. I dread the day my big girl tells me she no longer believes in fairies:

She’s very gentle and patient with her youngest Sister resulting in Daisy always telling her “Poppy you’re my best friend”, it’s very cute. She has always been and still is very close to Rosie but like most sisters they do argue too. Usually it’s over the silliest things and Poppy would be the first to apologise.

She loves ballet and gymnastics and literally spends her days dancing and twirling around like Angelina Ballerina. Long gone are the days when she was a chubby little toddler at dance class these days she is beginning to look really elegant, much more like a real ballerina. She (and Rosie) would love to do tap and modern dancing too but sorting out the logistics of this is pretty tricky.

Sensitive and sweet as well as affectionate, I want to scoop her up and keep her this age for longer. The years are flying by far too quickly for my liking.
