With no rain forecast on Sunday we bundled up into coats and wellies and set off on adventure. The girls wanted to head to Osterley Park our families special place so who were we to argue? Osterley Park it was. Underneath the coats the younger girls had some beautiful new dresses on we were reviewing and its the perfect place for pretty pictures. I must point out here that this week my photos were actually taken by my Husband rather than me. Its been a while since I’ve pinched his but they really are beautiful and he doesn’t mind:

Its such a pretty park with plenty to explore. Being National Trust members we come here often as it is quieter than the Royal parks in the area. We love the gardens all year round and always get some lovely photos. The girls particularly enjoy the play trail but it was a little slippy in places this time:

Best of all are the games my girls play to amuse themselves. Who needs big expensive days out or toys when you have places like this close by? They enjoy the simple things like running up and down the spiral staircases, running down the hills and kicking through and throwing huge piles of leaves. They hunt high and low for the biggest leaves and giggle to each other as they listen to them crunch under their feet. Its wonderful to watch and join in when allowed!

The weather was pretty mild and it wasn’t long before the coats were dumped and the girls were running around in just their dresses. They received a few strange looks but i’m used to it now. Is it just my girls that do this?

A lovely way to spend a morning with my four faveourite people.

As always linking in with the wonderful Fiona, our inspiration behind our outdoors adventures.
