Holidays….I have been dreaming about one for months and browsing the internet daily too.

Warm sunny skies, little toes playing in the waves, sun sets over a beach, playing in the pool with husband and my girls and of course lots of ice creams. We don’t want much, just time together really and a bit of sunshine.

Finally it is happening 😀

In the early hours of Saturday morning we are off for a week and I for one can’t wait. I also have three very excited little girls and a happy husband too. We all need to get away and this time we are venturing further afield and away from the UK.

Its not quite the holiday I was planning but I am sure it will be fun regardless. I had been dreaming of an All inclusive holiday and taking the girls on a plane but after searching high and low for a good deal it was just not going to happen this time round. I think I exhausted pretty much every website, every hotel and every food plan but a holiday like that for five in school holiday time just wasn’t affordable this half term.

So instead we are trying something completely different for us. We are catching the ferry and driving to France. We regularly did road trips across Canada back in the days when we just had one child but have stayed clear of them as the other girls came along. I have been assured by friends and family that it can be lots of fun and not as exhausting as you think though. So watch this space. I will be letting you know in just over a week what travelling across France with three young children is really like. The good, the bad and the ugly – I will be recording it all!

We will staying at one of the very child friendly and affordable EuroCamp Parks, in one of their newest and rather lovely looking holiday homes along the coast.  The website promises magnificent beaches, pretty ports and charming historical towns which all sound good to us. Fingers crossed the sun shines and we have a great time. There’s lots of trails and places to explore on both foot and bikes so plenty of photographs coming this way.

We really can’t wait.
