The other day I was taking photos of my girls racing up and down the street on their bikes when I took these:
When I looked at the photos I had taken, I almost did a double take. Rosie looked so grown up. Of course I had noticed another growth spurt recently – she has shot up, her hair is pretty long now as well but her face is changing shape too. She is losing her baby face.
Rosie hasn't been a baby for ages now and it seems like years ago since she was a toddler too but she's my little girl not a big girl like the one in the photos. Then I looked at the photo closely and realised she had put her shoes on the wrong feet and somehow that made her feel smaller again and I was relieved 🙂
This growing up lark happens far too quickly for my liking, it's scary!

March 16, 2014 at 8:52 pm (11 years ago)Aw Karen this made me get a bit teary. She does look SO grown up in them, but the bit about the shoes made me smile. I have obviously only ever seen her through photos but I can totally see what you mean about losing her baby face a bit. I wish the time would slow down sometimes. xx
