What started out as a good week turned out to be a pretty miserable one to be honest. Struck by a terrible sickness bug one girl at a time, it’s been constant. With Husband away, I have been covered in sick daily and struggled along trying to keep everyone happy, comforted and clean!

Monday – Took Poppy to School this morning but was in desperate need of caffeine so went with a friend for coffee and cake. Later met up with my Mum, Sister, Brother-in-law and Nephews at a local garden centre for lunch. It has a free soft play area and was lots of fun. Mum treated us to lunch too which was sweet of her. Then everyone came back to ours for a while. As it was Williams Birthday we gave him his fireman Sam outfit which he loved and even Rosie had great fun dressing up. Mum collected Poppy from School in the car.

This evening my best friend Sarah came to stay which was lovely. She helped me out with bath time, cooked me dinner whilst I settled Daisy and then we caught up with the gossip over a bottle of rose. It was so lovely to feel like Karen again rather than just Mummy and great fun.

Tuesday – Sarah didnt have to rush off this morning which was perfect. We timed it that she left as I was getting ready to take Rosie and Daisy to the music group we go to. Mum came over this afternoon and she picked Poppy up for me so I could rest.

Wednesday – Rosie started the day by projectile vomiting her milk all over the kitchen floor! Poppy was fine so we took her off to School. Rosie was sick twice more all over the house so the day was spent cleaning and cuddling her. Luckily Daisy was great today. She slept well which meant I had lots of time for her Sister. Later I picked up Poppy from School but she burst into tears when she saw me with the pram…she wanted Nanny and her car! It was raining so I can’t blame her.

Thursday – Rosie was much better but a little wobbly this morning and she didnt want to go to Tumble Tots. We stayed home and a friend popped in for coffee instead. Later on Mum came over and I made her lunch then she stayed and did all my ironing which was wonderful and much appreciated. The weather was a bit brighter today so we stopped at the park on the way home from School this afternoon. Managed to get all 3 girls in bed and fast asleep by 7.30pm so had time to eat and blog. Was in bed myself by 9.30pm.

Friday – luckily I went to bed early as it was a terrible night – poor Poppy now has the bug and threw up every half hour from 3.15am. She also disturbed Rosie who got up for about a million wees (but only did 2). As a reilt I’m shattered but fortunately not poorly. We ended up having a duvet day which was topped off by Rosie being sick again tonight. It’s never ending.

Saturday – no ballet today as the girls have both been poorly. They were disappointed as Poppy really enjoyed it last week and Rosie was going to have a taster session. Mum popped over this morning with some essentials which were much appreciated and she looked after the girls whilst I had a shower and put the dinner in the slow cooker. It was a flying visit though as she had to get ready for a wedding. Luckly the weather was brighter so I got the girls in the garden for some much needed fresh air then they made a sand picture.

Sunday – Grcameras come to stay for a few days and seeing as there had been no sick since Friday night he took us all out for a pub lunch. It was lovely and we all enjoyed ourselves but tonight I started with the stomach cramps – start of the bug for me?

Here’s some of my pics from the week.
