Phew what a week it has been! Daisy is now 10 days old and although she is a little cutie most of the time she has also screamed quite a lot too, which has been quite stressful to say the least. She was born tongue tied and although she has been able to feed it has caused problems with trapped wind which has been quite painful for her. She has now had it snipped and seems much more settled and content so lets hope she stays that way.
Monday – It was a busy day today. I had a midwife appointment this morning. I stayed in to see her whilst Husband and Rosie went to register Daisy’s birth. Later in the afternoon we had to go to the Hospital as Daisy had an appointment to have blood taken. It wasn’t very nice and the poor little thing screamed. The girls had fun in the new children’s ward waiting area though, they were playing in a huge wooden ship amongst other things. Oh and I fit back in my own clothes again…yippee!!
Tuesday- Husbands first day in his new job. It wasnt a good day for me though as Daisy pretty much screamed all day! Around 5pm though she threw up a golf ball sized ball of congealed milk and “stuff”, before finally settling. Hoping she will be more settled now.
Wednesday – I decided to brave it today and take all three out to the park. We were all ready when I went to fetch the pram and the buggy board was not attached and I could not find it anywhere…. disastrous!! Seeing as we were all ready I decided to take Daisy in the Moby Wrap, Rosie on reins and Poppy walking by the side of us. It was okay until we were almost home and Rosie had a melt down as she had walked too far. Daisy liked the Moby wrap though and slept the whole time we were out.
Thursday – Husband had attached the buggy board last night so I was ready for another adventure. Today we walked to Costa for a treat. They are very child friendly in our Costa and even have a box of toys. The girls enjoyed Babycinno’s and marshmallows whilst I had a lovely skinny vanilla latte and blueberry muffin..delicious! They were very well behaved and played with the other children there. This evening the girls enjoyed making their own pizzas for dinner.
Friday – Daisy had her appointment to have her tongue snipped at lunch time. poor thing wasnt happy afterwards but I guess it must have hurt. It was all over quickly and I was amazed that it no longer hurt at all when feeding (it had been a little bit). We were told it should make a huge difference with the wind.
Husband then had the rest of the day off so built the girls their new swing set. It took him about 5 hours but he kept at it after Poppy had said “you will stay up all night to build it wont you Daddy?”. Cheeky little madam! We enjoyed a Chinese afterwards though which was lovely.
Saturday – A bit of a difficult day. Daisy had been up all night and was uncomfortable all day. She just kept making this noise that sounded like a whine/groan and wanted to suckle and be cuddled. I felt like I couldn’t put her down all day. We think her mouth hurts. Hope it doesn’t last long as she is too young to be in pain like that. She didnt settle until 10pm but then slept through until 3.15am before feeding and going back to sleep till around 7am ish. I think we both felt better after a good sleep.
Sunday – Nanny and Gramps came for the day. They have both been poorly so kept their distance and we hadnt seen them in over a week. It was a lovely day and thankfully Daisy was much more content and settled. The girls had great fun and Mum & Dad got to enjoy some baby cuddles too. Daisy has grown lots in the past week. We even enjoyed a lovely barbecue. Husband and I made use of having them here and quickly nipped out to do the food shopping leaving them with all three (what stars)!
Here are just a few pictures from the week:
So a bit of a mixed week really. I feel as though I have coped by getting out with all three but hope Daisy has a better week this week.
I am linking this in with Mummy, Daddy and Me Makes Three linky.

Sounds like a tiring week but and all three girls a just beautiful! At east you have such a lovely big garden which must keep poppy and Rosie entertained! Xx
