Okay so the week started off with the return from Butlins on Monday. Followed by unpacking, nesting and upset tummies for the girls!
Monday – We enjoyed a leisurely morning at Butlins before the long drive home. This afternoon we found the local GP and tried to register. Have a slight problem though as just moved in and have no id with address on it. Husband already put bills in his name….not easy and am 37 weeks pregnant! Husband had to go back to work tonight.
Tuesday – The girls were really good whilst I caught up on washing, ironing and a little unpacking. They are loving having a garden and its lovely to see them be able to play out. I also phoned the hospital to let them know I am very pregnant and just moved into the area, they gave me all the relevant numbers which made me feel better.
Wednesday – A mixed day of indoor activity’s and playing in the garden. Gramps came over to babysit this evening so I could go to a Parents evening at Poppy’s new School. I cooked him dinner in return, its so nice to be able to see my parents so often and it looks like a really nice School. Met Poppy’s Teacher too who seems lovely.
Thursday – Mum popped over this morning for a little while which was lovely. This afternoon I took Poppy to a story time session at her new School so she could meet her teacher and other new children. She really enjoyed enjoyed it and wants to go again next week. What a relief. I also got to meet some of the other parents which was really nice. We took the younger ones to the park for half hour leaving the older ones in class.
Friday – Daddy came home at 4.30pm. Until then the girls were a bit of a pain asking for him constantly. We went through play dough, drawing, acqua draw, playing in the garden and with most of their toys but all they wanted was Daddy. It was a relief to have him home. Tonight him and I enjoyed a Dominoes Pizza, the first one in years! Delicious. I put lots of jalapeño peppers on it hoping to make baby arrive. Did give me stomach cramps…but no baby!
Saturday – We dropped the girls round to their Nanny and Gramps so we could go to IKEA. The girls enjoyed a fabulous day with constant attention lavished on them by their doting Grandparents. They had brought them new colouring books each and a new Moon Dough kit which they had great fun with as well as the usual paints and playing in the garden. Tonight they slept really well! I had hoped walking round IKEA might bring the baby on but it didn’t. Did have lots of pains though and bump dropped a bit so something is happening.
Sunday – Not the best day in the world. Got lots of jobs done between last night and today but the girls have been little monsters all day. I think they new Daddy was going back to work. Husband a bit grumpy too for the same reason and I am panicking its going to happen and hes not going to get back in time. I am still getting lots of sharp pains and pressure. I don’t think it will be long.
Husband will be back on Thursday so only 4 more days working away and then we can be a proper family again. Hoping the baby stays put until then (or that he gets back for it).
Here’s some of the photos I took:

July 8, 2012 at 10:04 pm (13 years ago)Ooooh Karen do you really think it could be that soon? That’s quite early! Whenever it is at least your parents are nearby to help and husband won’t take long to get to you.
Anyway, sounds like another nice week settling into your new home. It mus be lovely having your parents close by after being far away for so long.
Anyway. Good luck if anything does happen xx
