Rosie has a new favourite bedtime story. It's “Mine” by Parragon. It's a Very sweet but true book about the dynamics between little girls learning to play together and she loves nothing more than snuggling up to read it.

Unfortunately Poppy (aged 5) has declared it a baby book and refuses to sit and listen to it. I just read her a more grown up one afterwards though and it seems to keep the peace.

Personally I think this book is adorable. The characters in it are just like real little girls liking everything just so (“tea for Teddy in the tall cup, cakes for Pansy on the pink plate, biscuits for Bingo in the brown bowl”) and not liking change. It has a lovely ending and makes me smile every time I read it.

It is beautifully illustrated too. A truly lovely book for little girls under 5.
