Don’t faint from shock or horror or anything but this weeks outfit is not a dress or even a skirt.  It’s denim dungarees! You might have spotted some of these photos on my instagram feed this week. I  can’t get enough of them.

Daisy is a proper girly girl. She adores princesses and lives in dresses. She pretty much wears a party dress every day of the year, favouring the ones that spin. She also has a habit of changing  several times a day into various dressing up clothes too.

But then I brought her these fab dungarees which she loves almost as much as her dresses (but not quite):

Denim Dungarees – Boots Mini Club

Breton Top – Joules (last season)

Red Pumps – Cath Kidson

Flower headband – Claire’s Accessories

I love these dungarees. They are adorable and suit her perfectly. Personally I think she looks gorgeous in them. A bit of a cheeky, impish, wild child. So cute. The fabric is so soft too and they are apparently very comfortable for playing in:

I was a bit worried about trips to the bathroom and how easy they would be for her to manage. However, at four, almost five, she can get them on and off by herself but sometimes needs a bit of help if the straps twist round. Not too much trouble at all:

To be honest Daisy has had them a while now and has actually had a huge growth spurt during that time. They are looking a bit short here. I wish I had brought her the next size up. They will be fine for the summer though. The bottom rolls up showing a little strawberry print and I think if she does that they will look like little cropped jeans with her pumps. You will be seeing plenty more of them though I’m sure!

We have teamed them here with an old favourite top. It’s a navy and white Bretton stripe one from Joules. We do love Joules for girls clothes. She’s had this top for a while now but adores it. Again, its gorgeous and soft and the stripes look fab with the denim:

The pumps are from Cath Kidson and are absolutely gorgeous. She loves the little hearts on them and the fact she can do them up by herself. Admittedly she’s pulled them a bit tight here but they really are lovely:

All in all, an adorable outfit I think you will agree:
