Last weekend it was just the girls and I home and we wanted to get out for some fresh air. We decided on a little local walk. Perfect for what we wanted, it wasn’t too long and they couldn’t run off far or get lost:
The sun was shining, no one else was around and there were lots of icy, muddy muddles to play in:
It turned out to be a lovely walk:

I don’t often take all three out by myself like this so I was glad it worked out so well. They enjoyed it and it did my confidence the world of good too. We tend to just do this sort of thing when Daddy is about but it made me realise that needn’t be the case:
We will definitely be doing this more often when we find ourselves home alone at the weekends:

January 15, 2018 at 12:14 pm (7 years ago)It’s great that you had the courage to take the three of them out by yourself, I’m sure they can’t wait for more girls-only adventures when Daddy’s busy! This looks like a fab walk too, there’s nothing better than a few muddy puddles to make any walk fun. The girls clearly enjoyed being out with you despite the chilly weather, I hope to see some more girls only adventures soon.
Thanks for linking up with me on #CountryKids.

January 19, 2018 at 9:57 pm (7 years ago)In the past they have always taken off in different directions so I didn’t feel able to manage them alone but these days its easier. I find a walk or activity that works and stick to it. Will definitely be more adventurous this year x

January 17, 2018 at 2:32 am (7 years ago)Looks like a lovely walk! I only really started taking my three out on my own in the last year or so, and there are still some adventures that I wouldn’t attempt on my own! It’s great when they start to get older and you can enjoy time like this, without the stress. #countrykids
