The day started off perfectly. Husband was home after a week away and we awoke to the sounds of happy little girls playing nicely together. Soon after they came into our room for kisses and cuddles, happy Daddy was back and pleased o give me the Mothers Day cards they had made at School:

Poppy then took the girls down for breakfast. Her new thing for weekends. She started last weekend after telling me she wanted to be treated more grown up and to help me out, I thought about it and then taught her how to use the toaster. Now she makes them all Repunzel toast (toast with honey apparently) then puts a movie on for them. A treat for us all. until the novelty wears off

Daddy got up soon after though whilst I enjoyed a lovely lie in….well until the girls jumped on me to tell me we were going swimming. We texted my Sister who goes to the same most Sundays and they were going too, yippee:

After swimming and chasing their cousins all around the pool, everyone was exhausted. Time for a bit of lunch and a lazy afternoon. They played in the garden,  came in to make some little clay beads and pendants which need to set for 24 hours and then watched a movie:

Mummy and daddy thought they might have a little cuddle whilst the girls were engrossed in Tarzan but no, the girls had other ideas and all joined in too:

Little Daisy has especially missed her Daddy this week and was like his shadow, stuck by him all afternoon. It was pretty sweet:

Then it was a roast dinner, closely followed by a bubble bath, stories and bed:

Not the most exciting day in the World but a very relaxing one. No ballet lessons, playdates or birthday parties to have to rush around for…bliss!

What did you get up to?
