It’s amazing how time flies. Could it really be two and a half weeks since our mini break in the Cotswolds? It really was lovely to be outside in the fresh air everyday, exploring new places and trails.
One of our favourite days out was at Dyrham Park, near Bath. Another beautiful National Trust property, with huge gardens to explore. I have to say the website does not do it justice. It doesn’t look that impressive on there but this place is beautiful:
The girls had great fun running up and down the hills, spotting deer and pretending they lived in a house with a garden this size. That was even before we got anywhere near the house:
Once there we could see how lovely it really is. Pretty gardens to explore and a pond to pretend to fish in. There was an orchard of pear trees and leaves of every colour. Just gorgeous:
Lots of work is being done on the house at the moment but the girls still had fun exploring. We joined in with an indoor trail, tasted some delicious hot chocolate and relaxed in the second hand bookshop:
If you are anywhere in the area this is definitely worth a visit;
I am already dreaming of another holiday. I wonder where we will end up next! Cant wait to share.

November 17, 2016 at 10:14 pm (8 years ago)It must have been lovely in the Autumn coming down the drive with all the yellowing leaves. We went in the summer and couldn’t get anywhere near the deer, you did well to get a shot!

November 19, 2016 at 11:27 pm (8 years ago)Such gorgeous photos, I love to see your posts just to admire the beautiful photos you take of your girls. Dyrham park is certainly a wonderful backdrop and such perfectly maintained grounds. I do love the way the deer are roaming freely there and a lake is always a draw. Looks like a good choice for your day out and some fun activities inside too.
