Regular readers may have noticed I've been a bit quiet on my blog lately. Since moving everything has been a bit crazy. I've put everything into getting the girls settled and the house sorted meaning I've had much less time to myself. I seem to have slipped on all my photography projects except this one though – country kids, my inspiration behind getting outdoors more this year.
This family are thoughly enjoying our outside lifestyle and family adventures this year. Each week we've been playing outside rain or shine. Together we've explored so many exciting places, stayed on a dairy farm and even joined the National Trust. It's been a fantastic year for us.
A few weeks ago on a beautiful, sunny Autumn day we visited Hardwicke Hall In Derbyshire.
We took the girls Grandma, my Mother-in-law and we all enjoyed some fresh air and fun. It really was lovely:
The girls got to explore an old ruin, help plant flowers, run around, explore the orchard and best of all discover fairy houses, honestly they did:
The fairies weren't home but they did have lovely little houses.
We also had a peek inside Hardwicke Hall itself. Admittedly the girls prefer being outdoors in the grounds but they like the games, the dressing up and the lovely staff who make the National Trust homes more enjoyable for them:
All in all a great day out and somewhere we would definitely visit again.

I love the fairy houses – shame the fairies weren’t at home though. Nice to know that if we do visit, there is something for the girls to enjoy while I’m satisfying my love of history! #CountryKids

I do love exploring National Trust places, they are treasure troves for both grown-ups and kiddies. Lovely photos of the girls as always, they really pose beautifully for you.
