I love my girls more than anything and every night before they go to sleep I tell them “I love you to the moon and back” and then they say “love you to the sun”, “love you to the planets” or Poppy’s favourite “love you more than marshmallows”. I was therefore more than happy to review the new children’s DVD “Guess How Much I Love You?” Which was released on 5th November 2012.

Having read and loved the book, I was already familiar with the characters  Little and Big Nutbrown Hares and was keen to see how they would look when they came they life. With 8 adorable episodes, it didn’t disappoint.

As well as the Nut Brown Hares, you meet other countryside creatures including Little White Owl and Little Field Mouse. The episodes follow the friends fun and the life lessons they learn along the way.

Episodes include ‘Blossoms’ where we see the changes in the seasons and Little Nutbrown Hare’s memory of a magnificent cherry tree he saw when he was younger. He sets off on an adventure to find it. Will the blossoms floating downstream give them a clue as to a shorter way home? In the episode ‘What Sound Does the Moon Make?’ both Nutbrown Hares are having trouble sleeping. As they lay quietly in a pile of leaves they listen to the sounds of the night…swish, hoot, wobble, nibble, croak and splash! They go on a journey to discover what’s making the interesting night noises, but will they work out what sound the moon makes?Other episodes include ‘Bedtime Story,’ ‘It’s Okay,’ ‘Can you Touch the Stars?’, ‘Four Seasons,’ ‘You for a Day’ and ‘Big Like You.’For families looking to share special experiences this Christmas, this DVD is sure to make the colder days feel warmer.

After a busy day on Saturday we returned home tired, cold and wet so decided it would be the perfect time to get reviewing. We all curled up on the sofa with a duvet and marshmallows to warm up and chill out.

I personally thought it was adorable. My girls aged 2 and 4 years enjoyed it too but they have very short attention spans. After 3 episodes, they got up and started to play with toys but wanted it on in the background. It didn’t matter though, you dont have to watch it all at once…you can just put a few episodes on at a time.

Their Favouite episode was blossoms which was really lovely.

These stories will put a smile on your face and make your heart melt.

Anything that teaches Children the meaning of love and affection gets the thumbs up from us and we believe this would make an ideal gift for Christmas.
