The idea of glittery slime in my house makes me feel sick (they get it everywhere). However, when a friend of ours was sent two sets of Glam Gloo and asked us if we could review one for her, my girls were so excited that I just couldn’t say no. Does anyone else feel like this about the stuff or is it just me?

Anyway, the sun was out and summer holiday boredom was kicking in so we headed out to the garden. Please excuse how Daisy is dressed. I have no idea why she has on a tutu and leotard that are two sizes too small but it was one of those days!

No real instructions except for a few recipes came with the set, so we went ahead and set up a table which we covered in a tablecloth, grabbed a little dish and spoon each as well as a bowl of soapy water. We had been warned that this stuff is super sticky so the water was a great idea:

The girls weren’t  sure about it at first. They like messy play but this really was sticky. They kept wanting to wash their hands. As soon as they added the colours, glitter and scent though, it soon became a better texture and they were in their element:

Two big spoons of gloo in each cup meant the girls all managed to make three little slime balls each. There was plenty of the colours, scent and glitter to go round, so no arguments which is always a bonus. I even had a go, using up all the leftover pink and glitters. It was fun:

I think the photos (even though not the best) show how much fun they had. It’s hard taking photos with sticky hands.

Such pretty colours and sone smelt lovely too.

Poppy loved the little purse you can store it all in whilst a Daisy claimed the little ring for herself. She’s cheeky that one!

It’s been a few days since we made it and already it is a better texture. They’ve had so much fun stretching and squelching it. Some of the ones with lots of glitter in them even make a crackling sound.

I can tell you that the fun doesn’t stop once it’s all been made. Definitely not. The girls have been returning to it daily and love it. Hours of fun, even for a Mum who’s not that keen on the stuff!
