One of the best things about moving is living closer to my Sister and her gorgeous family. Between us we have children aged 2,3,4,5 and 6 which really makes us smile.
It’s so good to be able to see my gorgeous Nephews more often and for the Cousins to get to know each other properly too. They have always got on but seeing each other for a few days at a time isn’t the same as regular visits. Now they have an opportunity to really get to know each other and to form real bonds. It’s very sweet seeing them all together and they get on most of the time.
A few weekends ago we all met up in Richmond Park. It was one of those spur of the moment things and the children all really enjoyed themselves. Despite it being freezing cold and far too muddy and slippery for the play trail, they had a lot of fun. The big ones were especially good with the little ones and everyone enjoyed themselves:
As always a highlight of the morning was the deer. The girls never tire of seeing them and to be honest neither do I:
A lovely way to spend a few hours and hopefully we can do things like this much more often.
As always linking this in with the fabulous Country Kids, our inspiration for playing outdoors!

January 17, 2015 at 6:01 pm (10 years ago)We love Richmond Park, too. I go there to meet up with my friend and goddaughter. It’s always a lovely trip whatever the seasons. It’s so big, too. I don’t think I’ve even seen all of it properly! Lovely photos #countrykids

January 17, 2015 at 6:12 pm (10 years ago)Aren’t those deer just lovely. It must be wonderful to have cousins close by in distance and age. Monkey’s are all considerably older than him and I never had any! Richmond Park looks like a great place to explore #CountryKids

January 17, 2015 at 7:59 pm (10 years ago)What a lovely day out, that’s the one thing I miss living so far away from family is seeing my kids bond with their cousins, they always get on so well when we do visits. It’s fab that they all have the chance to get to know each other now. Thanks for linking up with Country Kids.

January 20, 2015 at 3:00 pm (10 years ago)Richmond Park is magic!! My parents live just outside Kingston, and we used to also. I’ve grown up visiting Richmond Park as children, teenagers, dates with boyfriends (yes really – romantic picnics…), winter walks and summer sunbathing. I even did a charity walk around the entire park with my dad years ago. I take the kids there now. I love it all year round, and have hundreds of photos there. A beautiful spot and so lovely to see the place on somebody else’s blog. (o:
