Happy Birthday Frugi!
Frugi are ten years old today and now they also sell their gorgeous, organic and ethically sourced clothes for children up to 10 years too. To help them celebrate 10 Bloggers and their children have been selected to review items from their Sring/Summer collection and luckily for her Poppy was selected to be their 5 year old.
Anyone who reads this blog will know that we love pretty little things in this house, especially dresses. So when she was given the freedom to pick any two items from their summer range I knew one would be a dress. Usually only ever seen in pink she went for something totally different to usual though, immediately selecting this cute beach hut Lucy dress in blue. She asked to see what cardigans they had and picked the red one to compliment it saying “that matches doesn’t it Mummy?” I must admit it’s absolutely gorgeous! A great choice big girl:
When the parcel arrived, she was literally squealing with excitement and couldn’t wait to try it on. Poppy suffers from eczema on the tops of her arms and hates anything scratchy but as she pulled it over head and down over her body she whispered “wow it feels really soft on my sensitive skin, I LOVE It!” and that was before she had even looked in the mirror. She couldn’t stop smiling and twirling.
Being super tall for her age, Poppy wears age 6-7 clothes and this fits exactly as expected. There’s still plenty of room in the cardigan (without it being too big) and the dress fits perfectly. It’s the type of dress you can dress up or dress down and has quickly become her faveourite. We’ve teamed it with comfy shoes for a relaxed look for our walk across farmers fields but it looks gorgeous with summer sandals on a day out too:
I have a feeling she’s going to live in this outfit this summer. Not only does it look fab (she’s had lots of lovely compliments whilst out and about), it’s also comfy to wear and easy to wash too. Luckily for Mummy it doesn’t need much ironing either. Definitely something to jump up and down about:
Prices are typical of clothes of this quality. The dress retails at £28 whilst the cardigan is £15:
I love my little girls to look like little girls and for me Frugi does this well. Classic designs with fun, trendy fabrics and appliqués that keep them looking young. With so many gorgeous things to choose from we will definitely be back for more.
As I mentioned at the start, 10 bloggers are involved with this celebration so now I’m sending you over to Kara at ChelseaMamma to check out what her gorgeous 6 year old Son is wearing.
Thank you Frugi and a big Happy Birthday to you.

Poppy received this outfit in return for this review but all words and opinions are completely our own!

May 22, 2014 at 3:38 pm (11 years ago)The sizes are perfect and it’s lovely to see clothes I love go up to aged 10. Sometimes the older stuff just looks too grown up, I want my girls to stay children for as long as possible x

May 23, 2014 at 10:06 am (11 years ago)WE nearly picked that dress too! I might have to dash off and buy it though. Love love love Frugi. Price per wear is next to nothing ans they last forever. Love that the dresses are in blues and greens and yellows rather than a sea of pink too.
