My girls love playsets and will spend hours playing together using their imaginations. However, up until recently they did not own any of the Fisher-Price Little People range.
Last week we were sent the Fisher-Price Little People Happy Sounds Home which fits perfectly in our playroom. It is lovely to look at. It’s very pink and girly and has lots of things included for the price (£39.99). There’s a Mum, a Dad and baby figures as well as an SUV, dining room table and comfy chair. We love the little baby and the car especially. It also comes with two fence pieces to join the other playsets available (sold seperatley). The front of the house closes storing everything inside which really appeals to this tidy Mummy.
It’s a great size and has three floors for your child to manoeuvre around. As the name suggests there’s plenty of songs and tunes to keep them entertained. There’s the sound of running water, a flushing loo and other household noises too. I can tell you they are not too loud or irritating for grown ups either. I’m terrible for leaving batteries out of toys but these will get replaced once they run out.
My girls love climbing the stairs, turning day into night and the telephone. Apparently it’s amusing to watch Mummy run to the phone when they press it as it sounds like ours!
Here’s a few photos of it up close and in use:
The pieces are great for little hands and tiny, chubby fingers but not too tiny they get easy lost either. You can easily flip the blind to change the weather or turn a dial to change it from daytime to night time. Lots of fun to be had.
The suggested age girls this toy is 1-4 years. I must admit Daisy at 19 months has no trouble playing with it. It’s the sort of toy that would be played with for years. Poppy happily joins in too despite being a very grown up 5 and a half year old.
We love Fisher-Price and now thanks to the Fisher-Price Little People Happy Sounds Home, love Little People too. We would definitely recommend this toy. It looks good, encourages the use of imagination and encourages the development of fine motor skills too. Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers.

I received the Little People Happy Sounds Home plus the Tessa and Kitty characters in return for this review. However, all words and options are my own.
