When I am not pregnant I love drinking cocktails (occasional of course) and one of my faves is the classic Mojito. I was therefore thrilled when asked to try out some new fresh juices from Welch and they even supplied a Mocktail menu to experiment with…perfect for the bank holiday.
I was very generously sent a huge package including around 16 cartons of juice in a variety of flavours including:
- 100% purple grape juice
- 100% pure rose grape juice
- 100% pure white grape juice
I couldn’t wait to start trying them.
The purple grape juice was a little strong for our family but watered down with a little soda water is very refreshing. Our overall favourite is the Pure Rose grape juice…delicious and perfect with lots of ice. Even the girls have enjoyed them.
In terms of the mocktails I tried these two and they were very good indeed.
White Grape Mojito
Armed with the freshest bunch mint from a friends garden I set to work making one of these straight away. Deliciously Moreish I must admit I enjoyed a few over the Jubilee weekend.
Ingredients
3 Squeezes of fresh lime
1 tea spoon of sugar
5 mint leaves
250 ml Welch’s White Grape Juice
Crushed ice
Garnish – Mint sprig
Glass – 12oz Highball
Rose Summer Garden
This one was gorgeous too. Very light and refreshing, perfect for Summer barbecues.
Ingredients
2 Lemon wedges
1 teaspoon of sugar
5/6 mint leaves
200ml Welch’s Rosé Grape Juice
Topped with soda (50ml)
Crushed ice
Garnish – Mint sprig
Glass – Highball
Very refreshing and very yummy.
