I haven't written to you since just before Daisy was born and you have changed so much since then. It used to be you that was my baby but you've gown up so much and of course you have a little Sister now.
You took to Daisy straight away, happy to be a big Sister and it was lovely. I was so proud of you. Unfortunately though, Daisy was quite Sicky and needed to be upright a lot of the time. This was difficult for you as it must have seemed as though I just held her all the time. I was also quite tired and grumpy so wasn't very patient when you were naughty trying to get my attention. It was bit of a tricky few months and im sorry about that.
It all settled down though when Daisy got her medicine and started napping properly. When Poppy is at School and Daisy is napping thats our time now – Mummy/Rosie time and its making all the difference. Sometimes we have a lttle cuddle and watch Peppa Pig or read stories, sometimes we play games and do jigsaws or we might do colouring/ play dough. You are very easily pleased.
You've had one illness after the other since Christmas and I've been quite worried about you. It seems to be settling down now though and the GP wasn't too worried. This was you a few days ago. Daddy took this picture but I think he captured your cheeky personality. It's lovely:
You really are a gorgeous little girl. You love cuddles and kisses and are very affectionate. It's so cute. You do have a naughty side to you too though, especially when unwell. You actually bit me twice last month: once on the finger and once on the neck. I wasn't happy!
You still suck your thumb and I'm not sure how or if I should get you to stop.
You are going to preschool in September and are really looking forward to it. I haven't rushed to put you into nursery instead waiting to get you in to the one at Poppy's School. In the meantime to keep busy we go to a singing group on Tuesdays, a toddler group and Tumble Tots on Thursdays and you have ballet lesons on Saturdays. They've all improved your confidence and you enjoy them all.
You love to sing, dance, dress up and giggle. Your little imagination is developing too and you love playing with your big Sister. She bosses you around a bit but you play Schools, shops, Doctors and so on. I like it when you use the cushions as cars and bottom shuffle around the room. It's so funny. You also put on plays for me which I really enjoy.
You are turning out to be quite clever too. You're not 3 for a while but can count to 30 already. Infact you know after 30 it's 31,32 etc but need help with 40,50,60 and so on. You love books and stories and show an interest in learning to read and phonics. You really enjoy the Jolly Phonics songs and even know your vowels. I guess that's having a big Sister.
Fiercely independent you like to be able to dress yourself, have an opinion on what you wear and even put your shoes on alone. Your favourite colours are purple and red and if it was up to you you would be dressed head to toe in purple everyday.
Here are a few more pictures to show how much you've grown:
You really are a gorgeous girl even when youre bit of a monkey.
Love you to the moon and back sweetheart.
