It's been so long since I last wrote you a letter, seven months to be exact! Life has been crazy since your baby Sister arrived. It's all settled down now though and I wanted to let you know what a lovely big girl and big Sister you are turning into.
First of all you have settled really well into School. You love your Teacher Mrs Mills and have made lots of new friends. Daddy and I are amazed at how much you have learnt already. You are in the top stream for everything: reading fantastically well, writing really nicely and now spelling too…such a clever girl. It's hard to remember sometimes that you are only four!
You just soak up everything like a little sponge and are eager to learn. Always counting, getting Daddy to set you Maths problems and even reading my emails when I'm checking them….cheeky Madam! This was you on holiday last week spelling out words:
You also wrote out Go Away amongst others.
Most of the time you are a happy little thing but you do have a bit of a temper too. We have this new thing at home so when you feel yourself getting cross you go and sit on the stairs for a few minutes and count to 10 to calm yourself down. It's really working. I think it's because you're at that stage where you think you know everything and don't like to be told off, you really believe you are right all the time.
You are very good with your sisters. Daisy already idolises you and her eyes light up when you pay her attention. It's magical to see. You also play really nicely with Rosie when you can be bothered. You play great imaginative games like Schools, trips to the beach, shopping and so on. You both love dressing up and putting on shows for me too. I love it!
Here's a few photos to show you how much you've grown up:
A gorgeous little girl. You are very affectionate and sweet natured too always telling me how much you love me – more than marshmallows, rainbows, sunshine and holidays apparently 🙂
I love you too sweetheart and am very, very proud of you.
