If you follow this blog you will know that we have been having a bit of a stressful time recently. So when the girls finished school for Easter and Husband was given a week off work what did we decide to do about it? Well we decided to forget about our troubles for a week and run away on a last minute family holiday to the Algarve. Turns out it was the best thing this family could have done!

A week of sun in the very warm Algarve and quality family time has definitely cheered us all up and done us all the world of good. We might not have found that perfect family home or a new school for the girls but we had fun together and made memories that should help us through the next few months. Oh and of course we were reminded of what is important to us all…. it’s just being together.

I am going to write all about our experience of booking a last minute holiday with children, the lovely hotel we stayed in in Carvoeiro and various outdoor posts sharing our favourite beaches but for now here’s just a few photos of our lovely week in the sun:

So if you are feeling troubled and stressed, sometimes it’s good to just bury your head in the sand and run away. It worked for us!
