Dearest Daisy,

I’m writing this the night before your birthday and I am wondering how on earth you can be six. Where has the time gone? In the past four weeks all three of you have had your birthdays and Mummy is feeling quite strange about you all being a year older. You girls on the other hand are quite happy. Between Rosie’s birthday and yours, you all feel out of sorts. Usually there are two years between you all so until it is back to that you all feel strange.

Daisy, you are our crazy, cheeky, noisy and mishevious one. Life has definitely become more crazy since you entered the world. You certainly keep us on our toes. From the minute you wake up singing until the time you go to bed, you like to be busy and to talk. In fact you don’t stop. We think you get that from your Nanny:

Not only do you talk non stop but you also don’t sit still. We always joke you will be an athlete, you are always on the move. Recently you started gymnastics and are absolutely loving it. You are so strong you scare me silly though. Always pulling yourself up in places you shouldn’t. I almost brought you a pull up bar for your birthday so you could just hang but Daddy wouldn’t let me. I think he thought you would grow muscles bigger than his 😂

You might drive us all crazy with your noise but you have a massive heart and are super affectionate. You hate to see anyone hurt or upset and will often just walk up and give me a big cuddle because you think I need it. You are usually right too. You catch me when I’m really tired or stressed out. You are such a gorgeous, kind girl and we all love you. Please don’t ever lose those qualities:

Daisy you are absolutely desperate to grow up like your big sisters but I’m always telling you it’s better to stay young. We have a little joke between us where I tell you it’s my rule that you can’t grow anymore. You often come running into me in the morning saying ”Mummy, Mummy, I think I’ve broken your rule again. I grew last night”. You are just so cute and make us smile everyday.

Honestly though gorgeous girl, you really don’t need to grow up too quickly, enjoy being the youngest and the fact you have two bigger sisters to look out for you. You really are lucky you know!

This year you didn’t want a huge party with your friends. Instead you opted for a family party with your sisters and your cousins. You do love your cousins.

Love you you big girl. More than the moon, rainbows and ice creams at the seaside.

Mummy xx
