This rain is horrible!!! Last Sunday, determined to still get out regardless of the weather, we wrapped up warm, pulled on our hats and wellies and set off an another adventure. We decided to avoid wide open spaces and hills because of the bitter cold wind and headed to a big park instead.
As soon as we arrived we could see huge puddles, great fun for jumping in. Unsure of how deep they were Poppy dived in first to check but was quickly followed by the others:
We ran round keeping warm, splashed some more, played hide and seek until we reached the play park. The girls were really excited then and happily swang, climbed and slid down the slide until it started to rain….again!
It came down pretty hard so Husband put the camera went away and we decided it was time for us to go. The girls had enjoyed themselves but were cold, wet and disappointed our adventure hadn’t lasted longer. I must admit, I’m looking forward to long Summer days when they can stay out too:
Have you been having fun outside this week?
Karen x

February 15, 2014 at 12:53 am (11 years ago)Aww lovely. Your Poppy is the same as ours with that love for puddles – the wetter and the muddier the better! So nice to get out, I don’t really work without fresh air at least once a week 🙂

February 15, 2014 at 8:49 am (11 years ago)Glad you could get out, even if it wasn’t for as long as you would have liked. I have had forced daily puddle jumping when dog walking – just not quite so fun without a couple of children in tow! That said as soon as they are back from school they are out, often in the pouring rain. Daft boys!!
