As I've mentioned before, this year we are aiming to get out every weekend for a family adventure whatever the weather. Last weekend I had a horrendous headache/ migraine that wouldn't shift. Although it had eased up on Sunday the girls volume switch had been knocked up to turbo and it wasn't shifting complely. We decided a bit of fresh air would do us all the world of good and it did.
We went up to Crickley Hill Country Park near cheltenham. It really was beautiful and pretty warm too for a change at 12 degrees. Daisy was asleep at first so we just laid her in the pram and took the family route. Then when she woke up we let her out for a run.
We only took Husbands camera but he let me have a go (priviliged)! The best shots are his though (mine are the bottom 4).
All three girls enjoyed a wonderful time:
I love seeing Daisy join in with her Sisters although after two goes she decided her Sisters were crazy and that she had had enough. She was on the run again instead. She is fiercely independent these days and just loves being able to run.
They were all absolutely filthy but happy with rosy cheeks and big smiles. It definitely tired them all out and us too. Just what we all needed! I did realise though that I really do need wellies so I've treated myself to some lovely new ones ready for next week.
We are already planning the next outing. So until next time…
Karen x

January 25, 2014 at 12:31 am (11 years ago)They are all growing up but thankfully not too fast. Lovely to see the three of them with rosy cheeks enjoying the simple fun of rolling down a hill. My nine year olds will still do it and I love that they can still be childish sometimes. Lovely photos, all of them!

January 25, 2014 at 2:50 pm (11 years ago)I always find that the children’s mood improves if I get them outside. I try to get them out twice a day. And they love day trips to see new and different things.
